The office is open and staffed 9am-2pm, Monday through Friday. Pastor Paul and Mark Buffat are available for pastoral care both virtually and in-person for vaccinated individuals. We will now be following the new Dane County Public Health advisory statement which is recommending masks be work for all inside events regardless of vaccination status.
One-on-one with a member of our church?
Stephen Ministers are people in our church family who receive special training to provide one-to-one Christian care to members and friends in our congregation and community who are experiencing grief, loneliness, divorce, hospitalization, disability, illness, injury, job loss, or other life challenges. To receive care from a Stephen Minister or know of someone who might benefit from a care partner, please talk to Mark Buffat or Frank Gaylord through the church office secretarymumc@sbcglobal.net.
From a grief support group?
Agrace’s grief support groups are open to anyone in the local area who has experienced a loss due to death, even if the person who died was not an Agrace patient. There are groups for adults, families, and children. Most groups meet at the Agrace Grief Support Center in Fitchburg. For more information, please visit www.agrace.org/grief-support/griefgroups.
In July, grief support specialists from Agrace are offering three virtual (accessible with a tablet, computer or smartphone) grief support groups for adults:
• Bridges Support Group meets July 7 and July 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• COVID-19 Loss Group meets every other Wednesday. In July, meetings are July 14 and 28, from 5:30 - 7 p.m.
• LGBTQ+ Spouse/Partner Loss Group is a six-week series that meets Tuesdays, July 20 to August 24, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
